MORRIS COUNTY PARK POLICE  BLOTTER 7-4 through 7-6, 2017

7/4: FIRE: Officers were dispatched to Loantaka Brook Reservation in Morris Township on a report of a dumpster fire. Fire Department also responded and extinguished the fire.

7/4: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for an equipment violation in Parsippany. An investigation led to Kevin D. Beaton, age 31, of Brooklyn, N.Y., to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. He was released with a court date pending.

7/5: ARREST FOR DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Denville. An investigation led to Joel A. Persaud, age 28, of Parsippany, to be charged with Driving While Intoxicated and several other motor-vehicle violations. He was eventually released with a court date pending.

7/5: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for an equipment violation in Victory Gardens. An investigation led to Ricardo E. Chavez, age 28, of Stanhope, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released with a court date pending.

7/6: ARRESTS FOR NARCOTICS: Officers observed two suspicious persons at Hedden County Park in Randolph. An investigation led to Fernando P. Aguilera-Aguilera, age 19, of Mine Hill, and Heriberto E. Riveria, age 19, of Mine Hill, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession and/or Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage by Persons Under the Legal Age. They were both released with court dates pending.

7/6: MOTOR-VEHICLE CRASH: Officers were dispatched to Schooley's Mountain County Park in Washington on a report of a two-vehicle motor-vehicle crash. No injuries reported.
