MORRISTOWN, NJ - An emergency utility repair shut down parts of South Street in Morristown on Thursday.

An update posted by the Town of Morristown states that throughout Thursday evening there will be one lane of traffic open on South Street between Miller Road and James Street. The closure is due to emergency utility repairs that will continue into Thursday evening. Westbound lanes will remain open but officials are anticipating heavy traffic and delays in the area.

Motorists are asked to plan alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.
