RANDOLPH, NJ -Randolph Community Wellness Day presents a special free one-time-only class, "How To Help Your Aging Parents While Preserving YOUR Sanity and THEIR Dignity,” with practical advice for family members with aging parents. The class will be held on Thur., June 25, 2015, from 8-9 p.m., at Randolph Pain Relief and Wellness Center in Randolph, NJ.
Community Wellness partners Aging Home Safely, Allstate Insurance, and Senior Home Care Services will share their expertise on the topics of "Keeping Your Parents at Home... Safely", "Taking Away the Keys... Without Hurt Feelings", and "When They Can't Live Alone Any More."
Hosted by Randolph Pain Relief and Wellness Center, this free public event features practical advice for dealing with the toughest challenges in caring for aging parents, including cooking, bathing, home safety, handling declining independence with grace and dignity, and whether and when to consider long-term care.
"Sooner or later, we all may face the challenge of how to take care of those who took care of us," says event coordinator Claire Keller. “As the class highlights, planning ahead lets us do the best job possible."
“We're absolutely delighted to see joint efforts like these emerge from Community Wellness Day,” adds Dr. David Simon of Randolph Pain Relief & Wellness Center. "It highlights the year-round 'community' aspect of CWD and shows that we can come together as a group and do more than we can individually."
Seating is free, but limited. For more information or to RSVP, call Claire Keller at (973) 366-6615 or visit randolphPRWC.com/events.
