Morristown, NJ – Plans are underway for the Garden Club of Morristown’s annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 7th at the New Vernon Fire House, 22 Village Road, from 8:30am – 3:00pm. The sale will feature unique shrubs, unusual perennials, native plants, and member-grown vegetables. Many plants have been divided from members’ gardens. There will also be a good selection of plants which attract pollinators, so important to the health of our environment.
Visitors to the sale will have the opportunity to shop for Mother’s Day with a variety of gardening books, herb baskets, container gardens, ornaments and other gifts, which will delight every mother. Plant Sale Chairman, Adrienne Kirby, said “The early spring weather has us all ready to get busy in the garden. Our GCM volunteers have procured some very special perennials for the plant sale this year, so I suggest shoppers arrive early.”
The Garden Club’s mission is to stimulate the love and knowledge of gardening, to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvement. Proceeds from the sale will support the Garden Club’s various community projects and is a 501 (c) 3 organization. The sale will take place rain or shine. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
