Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown will host its seventh annual “Evening in the Loyola Prayer Gardens” event on Thursday, June 14 from 6:30p.m. to 9:00p.m.  Funds raised will help the Center continue its mission of providing one-of-a-kind retreat experiences and spiritually-enriching programs to the community.

Guests will enjoy an outdoor evening of cocktails, a light buffet dinner and live music performed by the award-winning Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey. Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple. A chance to win up to $30,000 in a Super 50/50 Raffle at $100 per ticket is also part of the evening’s festivities.  Attendance is not required to win.

“Loyola Jesuit Center is an oasis of peace and quiet in the midst of a bustling suburban area. It is a place for people to find silence and clarity in their lives away from worldly distractions and influences.  Our garden party is an opportunity to experience the splendor and tranquility that Loyola has to offer,” said Renee Owens, Director of the Work for Loyola Jesuit Center.

“It will be an evening for the senses that you won’t want to miss. This year, we are thrilled to welcome The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey under the direction of Maestro Robert W. Butts, who will bring us music that exhilarates the spirit and soothes the soul.  Guests will also delight in culinary offerings from our Executive Chef John Lucchese, as they stroll through the flower-filled gardens and fountain-lined paths,” said Owens.  In addition to the gardens, the newly renovated historic mansion built in 1904 will be open for guests to explore throughout the evening.

For over ninety years Loyola Jesuit Center has offered silent retreats and spiritual renewal programs for men and women of all denominations, ages, cultures and walks of life in a quiet, contemplative atmosphere. Thousands of people have walked through its doors, seeking peace, restoration and a break from today’s fast-paced, technological world.
