Morristown, NJ  - Morristown High School has some new flowering plants thanks to M. ERBS Fine Gardens of Denville, winner of the Mansion in May Tulip Award.

The Women's Association for Morristown Medical Center's Mansion in May 2017 at Alnwick Hall - The Abbey in Morris Township, was visited by thousands to tour the magnificently designed interior and gorgeous gardens at the gilded age estate. M.ERBS Fine Gardens participating for the first time at Mansion in May, was the recipient of the Tulip Award, which is voted on by the visitors to Mansion in May for the best landscape garden for 2017.

The garden shop donated the flowering plants to the beautification program at the high school in hopes of keeping the magic of the mansion alive.  As Mansion in May came to a close and the landscape designers were busy removing many of the plantings, M.ERBS Fine Gardens wanted to give back to the community. wished to keep the magic of the mansion alive by giving back to the community.  Margarita Armington and Michelle Chin, along with other volunteers, arrived at the mansion to dig up the blooms for transplanting at their new home around Morristown High School where they are currently in full bloom and being cared for by the beautification program volunteers.

"We're so excited that the colorful flowers in our 2017 Tulip Award-winning display garden will have a new home at Morristown High School," stated Keith Wallock, owner of M.ERBS Fine Gardens.                      

The MHS Beautification Program volunteer group was created to develop interest and foster pride in the student's environment in and around the grounds of the school. Their final presentations were made to the environmental class, being offered at the High School, resulting in a planter design competition.

"We all have pride in MHS and feel that by beautifying the outside we can show the students, parents and community how wonderful our school is," states Armington.  "We are most grateful for the collaboration with Mansion in May and M.ERBS which has taken us to another level because it boosted our enthusiasm about our own work and helped us envision more plans for the future."
