MORRISTOWN, NJ – TD Bank is pleased to announce an exciting partnership with Grow It Green Morristown, a nonprofit focused on making fresh, local food and outdoor spaces accessible for all, located in Morristown, New Jersey.

On Friday, October 23, TD will hold a "Green Friday" event at its Morristown store at 217 South Street. Local residents can bring their loose change to cash in at the Penny Arcade. They can donate all, or a portion, of their change to benefit Grow It Green Morristown, and TD Bank will match with a donation of up to $2,000. Donations will support Grow It Green’s work in farm-based education.

This partnership grows out of TD Bank's "Bring Change" program, which supports local organizations that are making a real difference in the communities TD serves.

Grow It Green Morristown, established in 2009 works to promote equal access to fresh, local food and educate communities on healthy eating and environmental stewardship through sustainable farms and gardens.

“We are thrilled to be selected by TD Bank as their Bring Change recipient,” said Abby Gallo, Executive Director of Grow It Green Morristown. “They’ve been very supportive of our work to teach children about healthy eating and environmental stewardship through gardening, and this support will help us further those efforts.”

Starting on May 8 and extending through February 2016, TD's coin-counting Penny Arcades in 500 select stores will serve as designated hubs to collect change and fund local community initiatives across the company's Maine to Florida footprint.

"We're more than your bank, we're also your neighbor," "It’s important to us to give back to the communities where we live, work, and play,” said Vinoo Vijay, Chief Marketing Officer, TD Bank. “We believe Grow It Green exemplifies the values we cherish, and we're honored to help them achieve their goal of expanding farm-based education."
