MORRISTOWN, NJ - For the first time this season, the Morristown girls lacrosse team reached the 20 goal mark.
Hosting a North Hunterdon side than entered the game 0-3, the Colonials rolled to a 20-8 victory on Saturday morning at the Morristown High turf.
Six different girls scored for Morristown, who were led by Sarah Grace Plott and Nicole Ferrara with five goals a piece. Callie Sundin found the back of the net four times and added an assist, while Annika Begley (3 goals, 1 assist), Jenna Gill (two goals), and Shelby Clarke all made it onto the scoresheet.
Now 2-3, Morristown will have a difficult test on perennial Essex County title Montclair on Tuesday afternoon at that town's historic Woodman Field.
