Congregation Beth Hatikvah in Summit invites the community to join its family Hanukkah celebration on December 15th and 16th. All events are free.
HanukkahPalooza kicks off Friday evening the 15th with a community dinner and Menorah Lighting Challenge. Our goal is to have at least 180 candles burning. Bring your menorah, candles, family and friends, and your appetite.
The Kids’ Hanukkah party starts Saturday morning the 16th with a puppet show and sing-a-long followed by activities such as crafts, storytelling, cooking Hanukkah treats, and putting together toiletry bags for local homeless families.
While the kids are having fun, parents are invited to join a conversation at 11:00 am about the December Dilemma—how to navigate the holidays in interfaith families. Licensed Clinical Social Worker Arleen Soldati will lead the discussion about challenges and strategies for dealing with them.
Everyone will come together for a delicious lunch at 11:45.
