MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Morristown High girls lacrosse team is currently in the midst of its dream season.

Not particularly long ago, beating a perennial state powerhouse like Chatham would have been a dream itself, but it was reality on Tuesday.

The Colonials, now 9-2, defeated the Cougars 10-9  on the rainy Morristown turf field. Nicole Ferrara, Callie Sundin, and Annika Begley all registered hat tricks to help the winners erase a 5-2 halftime deficit.

Sarah Grace Plott also got on the board for Morristown, who received five saves in victory from Amelia Drake.

Emilie DeKeyzer led Chatham, also 9-2 now, with four goals on the afternoon

On Thursday, the Lady Colonials will travel to Oak Knoll before facing Jefferson in the Morris County Tournament. The county tournament will be played at Morristown High School at 11am.
