Holiday Light Festival at Skylands

AUGUSTA, NJ -  Skylands Stadium announced that it will hold a spectacular drive-through Christmas Light Show throughout the holiday season, featuring breathtaking light sculptures set to joyous holiday music. The light exhibit will showcase picturesque nativity scenes, a twinkling snowflake forest, adorable skating penguins, traditional Victorian scenes, jolly snowmen, a kid-pleasing Santa train, animated scenes, drive-through light tunnels and much more.
 
“The Skylands Stadium Christmas Light Show is the perfect way to get in the holiday spirit. Visitors will see magical renditions of traditional Christmas themes, as well as a patriotic tribute and a few truly creative surprises such as animated fireworks and reindeer playing soccer,” said Al Dorso Jr., vice-president of Skylands Stadium. “This one-mile drive-thru attraction is a perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Load up the car with friends and family and enjoy this not-to-be-missed holiday spectacular.”
 
Visitors can experience the magic of two million twinkling lights in under 30 minutes every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening from Nov 21 through Jan 10. There will also be special showings on Nov 26, Dec 29, 30 and January 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The hours are Fridays from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.  On Saturdays, Sundays and special dates, the attraction will be open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The light show will take place on the grounds of Skylands Stadium, located at 94 Championship Place, Augusta.
 
The Skylands Stadium Christmas Light Show costs $20 per carload at the entrance.  Discounted tickets at $15 per carload are available at 59 Walgreens, including Newton and Hackettstown, as well as stores in Morris, Passaic, Bergen and Essex Counties in New Jersey, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, and Orange and Rockland Counties in New York.  A $5 off entry coupon is also available online at SkylandsStadium.com. This coupon is NOT valid with any discounted ticket. 
 
To mark the start of the light show, Skylands Stadium is partnering with Cailey Jewelers of Lafayette in a diamond-bracelet giveaway. The winner of the two carat diamond and gold tennis bracelet, valued at $3000, will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at the store.  The winner need not be present to win. To enter the drawing, stop by Cailey Jewelers, at 191 Route 15, Suite 103 in Lafayette, before Nov. 25.

About Skylands Stadium 
Built in 1994, Skylands Stadium is located in the heart of rural Sussex County in Frankford Township, (Augusta) New Jersey.  Skylands Stadium LLC Management purchased the stadium in 2013, including the 4,200-seat ballpark, a 16,000-square foot all-purpose building and the surrounding 28 acres. The Stadium has upgraded all concessions, restroom facilities and seating areas, as well as the playing field, club house and locker rooms. A new 5,000-square foot pavilion has been erected down the first base line. A special box has been designated for members of the media.  
 
An 18,000-square foot exhibit hall will be completed this winter, and an in-house catering facility will be open for business by spring 2015.
