MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Calvary Baptist Church held its annual Family Funday this past Sunday at George Gramby Memorial Park in Morristown.
The park was packed with clothing booths, jewelry stands, face painting kiosks, henna tattoo stations and much more. Free food and drinks were provided by the church and tables were set up throughout the park with servers supplying the refreshments. The cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones tables were a popular spot for kids and adults alike to enjoy. A DJ blasted music throughout the day and provided constant entertainment. A water slide and bouncy house were included in the festivities for the children.
The Family Funday Sunday ended with a basketball game, wrapping up another successful community get together for everyone.
Pastor Carter, the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church explained the purpose of Family Funday Sunday. He stated that the event gave the church a chance to connect with the citizens of Morristown and let people know that they care about the community. He said it is a great way to bring people together without the need to spend money.
