Prosecutor Robertson stated that on March 26, at approximately 8:39 p.m., the Warren Township Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting an armed robbery at the Krauszer’s food store located on StirlingRoad.

Responding officers made contact with a male employee of the store who reported that a Caucasian male, approximately 50 years old, wearing dark clothing and a white baseball hat entered the store.

The individual immediately walked towards the employee displaying a handgun and demanded cash from the register.  The victim complied with the suspect’s demands and gave him an undisclosed amount of currency from the cash register.  The suspect fled from the store on foot in an unknown direction.

Detectives from the Warren Township Police Department responded to conduct the investigation and are being assisted by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Prosecutor Robertson stated.
