WILLIMANTIC, CT - The Warriors at Eastern Connecticut State University recently named 22 students to the 2018-19 field hockey team. Among the athletes is Khiara Valentine '21 of Morristown, a Social Work major. As a forward, Valentine has started in four games, scoring twice, with one assist.

"The Eastern Connecticut State University Field Hockey program is looking forward to a successful year on and off the field," said Head Coach Christine Hutchinson. "We have a smaller team but every athlete is ready to compete and has prepared well over the summer and preseason. We will be very competitive and looking to take the Little East Conference by surprise once again."

The Little East Conference (LEC) was established in 1986 as a single-sport league by six public institutions throughout New England. The LEC has since become a multi-sport league with eight primary members, six affiliate members and 19 championships.
