The first weeks of spring in Morristown haven’t looked like spring at all! Although Winter Storm Stella was not as severe as originally forecasted, the gusty winds and sleet made shoveling and plowing a hassle. A special thank you to the Morristown Department of Public Works for their hard work and continuous efforts to keep our roadways clear during and after Winter Storm Stella hit in mid-March.
Now that spring is finally here, we can begin to look forward to different seasonal events coming to Morristown. Our annual Easter Egg Hunt, Fishing Contest, and Earth Day celebration are all arriving shortly and I hope to see you out in Morristown as the weather begins to warm up. In celebration of Arbor Day, Morristown's TD Green Streets grant event will be held on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. in front of Morristown High School. The event will include a tree planting and other educational activities regarding the importance of keeping our environment strong. The Town of Morristown and I urge all citizens to celebrate Arbor Day. Go out and support efforts to protect our trees and woodlands and go plant and care for trees to promote the well-being of our environment this spring.
