In response to the Trump Administration's recent unveiling of immigration principles, Nedia Morsy issued the following statement on behalf of Make the Road New Jersey:
"If the Trump Administration thought their list of "principles" was supposed to be some part of a deal to pass the DREAM Act, they are sadly mistaken. This is not negotiating. This is not a proposal. This is not a way forward. Dreamers will not be used as hostages or bargaining chips to implement an extremist, white supremacist agenda. On the contrary, the DREAM Act of 2017 enjoys bi-partisan support. Our young people deserve a path to citizenship. And a majority of Americans - and Republicans - agree with this. We will continue to call our members of Congress, to take to the streets, and to raise our voices to pass a clean Dream Act. "
