While the tax bill is still being negotiated between the House and Senate whatever passes will result in a budget defecit in excess of 1 trillion dollars .
The benefits will go largely to the wealthy and corporations not working people and deductions for state and local taxes will be eliminated or reduced.
the long term effects will be reductions in many programs that benefit society as a whole such as Medicaid ,Medicare and Social Security.
It’s not too late to call our Representative, Rodney Frelinghuysen and let him know how we want him to vote on this tax bill. He already voted against it once because he thought it would “hurt New Jersey families who already pay some of the highest income and property taxes in the nation”.
