CHATHAM, NJ - The Metropolitan Orchestra of New Jersey begins its 2015-16 season on Sunday, November 22 at 3:00 pm at the Chatham Middle School Auditorium, 480 Main Street, Chatham, NJ.

With the theme “The Triumph of Lyricism,” conductor Michael Stratechuk will lead the orchestra in performing Overture in the Italian Style by Schubert, Vaughan Williams’ Oboe Concerto, featuring oboist and Chatham resident Lynne Cohen, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 (Pastoral).

Celebrating its 44th year, this is the Metropolitan Orchestra’s first full season in its new location in Chatham now that it is affiliated with The Adult School of the Chathams, Madison and Florham Park.  It was originally based in West Orange and most recently Millburn.  The move to Chatham has provided much improved facilities for orchestra members to rehearse and perform. Being only a “stone’s throw” away from Millburn, orchestra members look forward to the continued support of their Millburn-area audience.
