MORRISTOWN, NJ, January 4, 2017 / -- For the fifth consecutive year, Monk’s Home Improvements, of Morristown, NJ, has earned the home service industry’s coveted Angie’s List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of customer service in 2016.

The Super Service Award is the highest honor given. “Only a fraction of the companies in New Jersey were able to earn it,” explains Angie Hicks, founder of Angie’s List.

Ty Monk, founder of Monk’s Home Improvements, adds, “As we’ve grown we’ve all worked hard to maintain our high level of customer service. We are extremely proud to receive this award for eleven different project categories." He explained, "This accomplishment is meaningful because it’s based on verified customer feedback."

This achievement is particularly significant as Angie’s List experienced unprecedented member growth in 2016. More than 1.6 million consumers joined Angie’s List after the company added a new, free membership tier.

Monk’s Home Improvements has also enjoyed considerable growth this past year. The Monk’s Kitchen and Bath Design Studio, located on Rt. 202 in Morristown, NJ, offers kitchen and bath design, cabinetry, countertops, tile, windows, doors, closet systems and more. “Our customers are finding our full-service, end-to-end offering to be a real time-saver. They can come to our showroom and work with a Designer who will create a 3-D layout and help them coordinate all their materials,” said Ty Monk. “There isn’t any running around from plumbing supply houses, to tile stores, to meeting with installers. We take care of it all.”

Angie’s List Super Service Award 2016 winners have met strict eligibility requirements, which include earning an “A” rating, passing a stringent background check and abiding by Angie’s List operational guidelines. Company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List as new, verified consumer reviews are submitted. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality.

For more than 21 years, Angie’s List restricted access to its verified reviews to consumers who paid membership fees. Since the company continues to adhere to its review verification process, there has been no degradation of review quality.

“The biggest change at Angie’s List is that we are connecting even more consumers to high quality service professionals,” Hicks said. “And that’s good for everyone.”
