MONTCLAIR, NJ – Montclair Chief Financial Officer Frank Mason will be leaving Montclair on Nov. 14 and starting his next career chapter in Morristown on Nov. 17, Katya Wowk, Montclair Township Communications Director confirmed on Monday. She added, “Frank says he’s looking forward to accepting new challenges in Morristown.”

Mason has worked in Montclair as CFO since 2011. The Cranford resident has held similar positions as CFO in Red Bank and treasurer in North Bergen prior to coming to Montclair. He will replace Ann Cucci, who was hired in Morristown in March 2012 and left for a position in Parsippany-Troy Hills in September. 

Montclair Township recently hired Tim Stafford as acting township manager and received some public criticism on the process used. Montclair will now will begin a search for a new CFO who is responsible for developing and administrating the municipal budget, maintaining and managing the general ledger, financial records, debt service and investments, bond sales, as well as supervising payroll, pension and benefits administration, tax and utility collections and accounts payable/receivable.
