MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - A Morris Plains man was arrested Monday on charges of calling in telephone threats to a college in Washington state, announced Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp. According to the investigation, Robert W. Kerekes Jr made threatening phone calls to Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington on June 2 and June 3 of this year which resulted in the shutdown of the college.
The 53 year old was charged with Crimes of Terroristic Threats 2C:12-3a, Criminal Cohersion 2C:13-5a(1) and False Public Alarm 2C: 33-3, said police. He was remanded to the Morris County Correctional Facility per the New Jersey Bail Reform Act.
