MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Morris School District has announced plans to open all district schools in September to in-person, 5 day a week instruction.
"We do not know at this time whether Governor Murphy will require NJ public schools to offer virtual options in 2021-22 or whether current mitigation measures such as mask wearing and social distancing will still be in place (these, too, are state-level directives)", stated district officials.
As of April 16, the district's COVID-19 dashboard indicates a total of 20 active positive cases and 26 pending cases.
The Board of Education will review the current school calendar at their April 26 meeting. The board will review any proposed adjustments however, graduation dates will not change, said district officials. Frelinghuysen Middle School will hold graduation on June 21 and Morristown High School will hold graduation June 22.
