Morris Township Deputy Mayor and Morristown Business Owner Celebrate “For the Love of Reading” with Students at Unity Charter School

MORRISTOWN, NJ - Last year a small idea bloomed into a great event the lower school students at Unity Charter School.  This was an event, which was designed to promote reading, but more importantly an event that promotes a love for reading their youngest students.  During the preparation period, children chose a book of their genre of choice to read. Once they finish their book they complete a project using their modality of choice.  The project represents themes and ideas they read about.

This year the second annual FLOR guest reader celebration.  Throughout the day community members are asked to come to Unity Charter School and share their time reading their favorite book.  This is followed by questions and answers session with the students.
