MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - Going away for the final weeks of Summer? The Morris Township Police Department wants to remind home owners of the service they are offering residents.

The department is offering a free home check service to Morris Township residents where township police officers will randomly do physical property checks of your residence while you are away. This is intended for people going away for multiple days not just daily or overnight trips, said the department.

Requests must be submitted five business days prior to you leaving. If however, there is an emergency case, the department has asked residents to call 973-326-7473 during normal business hours. Residents are asked to call the records bureau at 973-326-7473 if the arrive home early.
