MORRISTOWN, NJ - According to the Morris Township Health Department's Website, "most Americans fill a dozen prescriptions annually, and after age 65, they fill up to 30 prescriptions every year". Managing multiple medications may seem overwhelming to some. Do you have questions about what you are taking and if they are working properly?
If so, the Morris Township Health Department, is offering a free program called, "Brown Bag Review". The Brown Bag Review allows residents to have medications reviewed by Marlene Peterson a retired pharmacist.
Peterson will take the time to go through medication by medication making sure there is a thorough understanding of when to take the medication, how to take it and the proper place to store it. She will look for any interactions between the medications and answer any questions that arise.
Appointments are available the 4th Wednesday of the month from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00p.m. at Morris Township Administration Building, 50 Woodland Road
Residents are asked to bring prescription medications as well as any over the counter medications that they are taking.
Appointments should take 30 minutes to complete. To schedule an appointment please call 973-515-6667
