Morristown, N.J. - Currently, there is a high need for nurses in the area. A new Adult Licensed Professional Nursing Program for 2015-2016 will be a collaboration between the Morris View Healthcare Center and the Morris County Vocational School. The program is an "intense, full-time, eleven-month program attracting prospective students who see the LPN program as entry to a career, as well as a foundational step to more advanced licenses such as RN/BSN/MSN".

The Morris County Vocational School District's Continuing Education Department has offered adult students affordable career program since 1970. The high quality of training leads to certification and licensing.

“This is an exciting collaboration and sharing of resources, that offers students an atmosphere of learning within a highly professional, compassionate and skilled environment,” commented Freeholder John Krickus, Liaison to the Morris County Vocational School, “and is one that can create potentially rewarding career opportunities for Morris County Vocational School’s program graduates.

“The Board of Education appreciates the continued support for our programs from the freeholders,” commented Barbara Dawson, Board President, Morris County Vocational School District.  “The Licensed Practical Nursing program is critical and benefits adult students and the medical community in Morris County.  Whenever we can share services for the greater good, it is a win-win for the county.”
