MADISON, NJ - Morristown residents are still three weeks away from the start of the Morristown Farmer's Market which takes place each Sunday in the lot behind Morris and Spring Street. If you need those fresh veggies and fruits now, be sure to check out Madison's Farmers Market this Thursday. 

The opening of the 2017 season of the Madison Farmers Market will take place Thursday, June 1st at 2:00pm at the intersection of Central Avenue and Main Street. The market, one of the oldest in the state, will be celebrating its 25th season this year. The market will remain open for two additional weeks, closing this year on October 26th. “Sidewalk Sounds” returns to the market with live performances by great local musicians every week.

Throughout the season local businesses and non-profits will be holding showcases at the market.  In addition, again this season the Madison Chamber of Commerce will offer a Health/Wellness/Beauty Event on a weekly basis called “Look Good Feel Good Madison” at the Farmers’ Market. Each week will feature two local businesses that specialize in these fields. June 1st will feature Club Pilates, who will also be celebrating their grand opening with an official ribbon cutting ceremony on this date.

Alstede Farms, Melick’s Town Farm, and Vacchiano Farm will be selling their Jersey Fresh produce again this year.  Also returning to the market will be Old Fashioned Kettle Korn, Pickle Licious, Paolo’s Kitchen, Gourmet Nuts and Dried Fruits, Secret Garden Soap of Madison, and Squeezed Fresh Lemonade. Vendors new to the market in 2016 will also be back this year including: Custom Prepped, Ester's Treats, The Farmer & The Chickpea, J&J's Italian Ice, Patricia & Paul Artisans of Fine Oils & Balsamics, and Stefans': Pierogi, Stuffed Cabbage, Smoked Kielbasy. New to the market for the 2017 season, will be Aspen Ridge Farm, Chef Pat's Kitchen, Hunter's Family Farm, S.L.U.G. Company and Verrilli's Bakery.

The Madison Farmers’ Market returns again this year to Central Avenue between Main Street and Cook Avenue and the hours will return to 2:00pm to 7:00pm. The location provides access to parking in the merchant lots on Cook Avenue and Elmer Street as well as in the Central Avenue School Parking Lot after 4:00pm on school days and anytime during the summer. The market season will run from June 1 to October 26.
