MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - Freshman center Alex Laferriere gave Chatham the early lead before Morristown-Beard came back to score a 3-1 ice hockey victory over the Cougars in the semifinals of the Mennen Cup on Monday night at Mennen Sports Arena.

Laferriere's power-play goal made it 1-0 for Chatham (13-6-3) just 2:56 into the action. Shay Black and Evan Schmidt were each credited with an assist on the Cougar goal. Chatham goalie Jamie Boles ended with 29 saves.

Brayden Patricia scored two goals for Morristown-Beard (15-8-1), which had lost two regular-season matchups to Chatham.
