MORRISTOWN, NJ- The Colonials, 21 st seeded in the Morris County Tournament, defeated 12 th seeded Mount Olive 1-0 in the preliminary round of the County Tournament by a 1-0 score. With the win, they advance to face 5 th seeded Pequannock next Sunday.

Morristown avenged their earlier loss in the season to Mount Olive when Camilo Loaiza scored the lone goal from Conor Tierney in the second half to secure the victory. Jonathan Nicholson had a 3-save shutout in net for the Colonials. Loaiza leads the team with 2 goals on the season and is a huge part of the Colonial attack.

The Colonials will be up against it against Pequannock who currently sit at 6-0 on the season. Getting their first win will certainly give them confidence going into this one, with nothing to lose. Morristown have a couple games this week to build on their season against Mendham on Tuesday and Westfield on Thursday. With a win or two this week, the Colonials will head into Sunday’s matchup oozing with confidence in trying for the upset and to keep their county run going.
