MORRISTOWN – The 2019 state seeding meeting was on Tuesday morning and the Morristown High School boys soccer team was given the sixth seed in the NJSIAA North
Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 tournament.

The Colonials will meet 11th-seeded North Bergen in the first round of the tournament, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Greystone-Central Park in Morris Plains at 4 p.m.

The winner of that match will take on the winner of third-seeded Kearny and 14th-seeded Paterson Kennedy in the North 1, Group 4 quarterfinals.

Ridgewood is the top seed in the section and Clifton is the second seed. Passaic is behind Kearny as the fourth seed and Montclair is the fifth.

Morristown is 12-5-1 on the season and recently defeated Morris Knolls by a 2-1 score. The Colonials reached the Morris County Tournament semifinals.

The sectional quarterfinals will be held Friday, Nov. 1 and the sectional semifinals will be Tuesday, Nov. 5. The public sectional finals will be held on Friday, Nov. 8. The public state semifinals will be held at neutral sites on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The Group finals will be held on Sunday, Nov. 17, at Kean University.
