MORRISTOWN, NJ- A benefit concert to support the surgical, medical, and educational efforts in Sierra Leone, West Africa will take place Saturday october 28 at the Assumption Church, 91 Maple Avenue.
From 8pm - 9:30pm, guests will here music from the Randolph High School String Orchestra and violin/fiddle soloist Andrew Vogts.
Under the direction of Mr. Eric Schaberg, the Randolph High School String Orchestra, will perform eclectic musical works from Bach to Rock. The orchestra includes over 80 student musicians.
Andrew Vogts, Violin/Fiddle Soloist returns after a stellar performance at the ASI benefit concert last year. A former child violin prodigy, Vogts, a high school sophomore from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, has performed in venues ranging from New Orleans, New York (as participant the 2016 high school performance series at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall) and other places in the U.S. to France, Italy, Holland, Austria---- even with gypsies in Budapest and Romania and at a Serengeti campsite.
The suggested donation is $10 per adult; children are free. All proceeds go directly to support surgical/medical/educational efforts in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
