MORRISTOWN, NJ- Tuesday was a busy day for sports in Morristown as the Colonials had teams in action all over. The girls’ soccer team improved to 3-2 on the year with a convincing 4-0 win against Montville Morgan O’Neill, Katie Duff, Grace Godfrey and Kathleen Rawding scoring goals and Mia Cecala picking up the clean
sheet. They will look to make it 2 straight against Pope John on Thursday.

Field Hockey faced off against Mendham and thanks to a pair of goals from Olivia Graham and Brittany Hoftijizer, Morristown improved to 2-1-1 after a 4-0 win. Assists by Graham, Sydney Familo and Indira Summerville in addition to a 6 save shutout by Colleen Shenocca paced the Colonials to a win. The Colonials will look for another win on Friday against Chatham.

The boys’ soccer team and the volleyball team are still looking for their first wins of 2018 as they both fell again on Tuesday. Soccer fell to 0-5 with a 4-0 defeat to Morris Knolls and volleyball lost in straight sets to Sparta 25-19, 25-21 to drop to 0-4 early in the year. Volleyball squares off against Chatham on Thursday and boys’ soccer faces off against Randolph on Thursday.
