MOUNTAIN LAKES- Considering the brutal schedule put together this season, there may well not be a better 1-3 girls lacrosse team in the entire state than Morristown High's club.
Opening up in-county competition by facing New Jersey's strongest lacrosse programs, the Colonials had a difficult time keeping up with the Lakers on Thursday afternoon. Mountain Lakes quickly jumped out to an early lead, and cruised to a 17-4 victory over Morristown at Wilkins Field.

Freshman Nicole Ferrara led Morristown with a pair of goals, while Annika Begley and Tara Goldhirsch put in one apiece.
Morristown, outshot by a lopsided 29-9 margin, received 12 saves in goal from Amelia Drake. The Colonials will be back in action on Saturday, when the Maroon & White host another quality team--North Hunterdon of Annandale--in a Saturday matinee.
