MORRISTOWN, NJ – Evan Mager’s girls lacrosse machine kept on rolling on Monday.

The Colonials notched their third win of the year by defeating old Iron Hills Conference-Iron Division rival West Morris; 12-9 on the Morristown High turf, once again making good of the preseason hype given toward this squad.

Star attacker Callie Sundin pumped in seven goals to lead the potent Maroon & White press, while Annika Begley also had a multi-goal effort with two on the day.

Half of the Morristown goals were assisted, and sophomore Nicole Ferrara registered three of them. Shelby Clark and Sarah Chupak also registered a goal apiece, while senior netminder Amelia Drake foiled twelve West Morris scoring attempts.

Morristown will now travel to North Caldwell on Wednesday to take on another traditional “LAX” power, West Essex.
