MORRISTOWN, NNJ - The no. 2 seed Morristown Colonials knocked off no. 7 seed Mt. Olive 16-6 in the state tournament quarterfinals at home on Friday afternoon.
Although Morristown had a slow start to the game and a slim 6-3 lead at halftime, the Colonials found their groove in their second half. Morristown featured a balanced attack as many players were able to find the back of the net. 
On Morristown's offensive end, Callie Sundin and Nicole Ferrara led the scoring with 4 goals and 2 assists each. Linnea Begley chipped in 3 goals and Annika Begley scored 2 goals. Sarah Grace Plott, Ava Plott, and Sarah Chupak all added 1 goal a piece. Many of the goals were assisted.
Morristown's defense played well and goalie Amelia Drake had a solid day in the net. Drake registered 7 saves. 
Morristown will advance to the state tournament semifinals next Tuesday afternoon at home. The Colonials will face Morris Knolls who beat Montclair earlier in a preliminary game.
