MORRISTOWN, NJ- The Colonials girls’ soccer team won their 2 nd in a row on Thursday defeating Pope John by a 2-1 score in overtime at Greystone Park. With the victory, Morristown improved to an impressive 4-2 on the year.
Kathryn Duff and Morgan O’Neill scored their 2 nd goals of the season, doing so in consecutive games leading the Colonials to the win. O’Neill and Kathleen Rawding added their first assists of the season and Mia Cecala had another fantastic game in net making 8 critical saves in picking up the win bringing her total to 42 on the year.
Camryn Stoner scored the lone goal for Pope John while making 5 saves in net. With the loss, Pope John fell to 2-4.
Morristown will look for 3 in a row on Sunday in a rematch against Montville in the Morris County Tournament, whom they just knocked off 4-0 earlier this week.
