MORRISTOWN, NJ - It is official: The seeds are out, and the road in front of the Morristown girls soccer team will not be an easy one.
The Colonials were given the No. 19 seed for the 2016 Morris County Tournament, which was seeded on Thursday night. Morristown-Beard, Villa Walsh, and St. Elizabeth are the other entries from Morristown in the field. Of that group, Morristown-Beard received the highest seed at No. 12.
Morristown High, which dropped to 2-3 on the season after Thursday afternoon’s 4-1 defeat away at Montville, will travel to neighboring Madison over the weekend for a preliminary round game. The date and time of the game are undermined.
The Colonials last wore the girls soccer county crown a decade ago in 2006.
