MORRISTOWN, NJ - Interested in playing sports in college? Come and hear what it takes to play collegiate sports in college from Morristown High School graduates and collegiate and high school coaches.
This free program is open to the entire Morristown community and will take place Wednesday May 22 at 7pm in the MHS auditorium.
The program will provide insight into the recruitment process so that families whose children may be interested in playing collegiate sports can start to plan for that possibility armed with the right information.
Students represented have signed at DI, DII, and DIII programs. The panel consists of students playing football, men's swimming, women's soccer and women's lacrosse. Collegiate football, women's softball and swimming coaches will be participating in the panel discussion as will MHS head coaches from boys soccer, girls soccer, swimming, girls tennis, track & field, indoor track and wrestling.
"One of the chief advantages of the MHS Athletic Department at MHS is that it offers multiple opportunities for all interested students--a robust freshman/JV-level program, competitive varsity teams, and a training ground for the scholar-athlete who wants to pursue sports at the college level", said Dr. Jennifer van Frank of the Morris School District.
