MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Morristown High softball team will take to the road in Morris County Tournament action this weekend, as the Colonials were given the No. 22 seed.
The Colonials—who will travel down the Sussex Turnpike to eleventh seeded Randolph on Friday—will launch county play with a bit of momentum.
On this past Tuesday afternoon, the Morristown outslugged Morris Hills by a 13-11 count to record their first win of the season in seven games.
Molly Murphy—Morristown’s starting pitcher—had a monster day at the plate with a 4-for-4 showing that included 2 RBI and a double. Kaeilli Zacchini also had a fine afternoon at the dish for the winners, going 2-for-2 with three walks and a RBI as well.
