MORRISTOWN, NJ - Raising children today can be difficult. Throw in technology and it can be downright frightening.
Noted psychiatrist, author, and parenting expert Dr. Robin Berman will hold a parenting forum on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Morristown High School. The forum will be the first in the 2014-2015 series of parent education programs sponsored by the Morris Educational Foundation.
Author of Permission to Parent: How to Raise Your Child with Love and Limits, Berman will share tips on how to set limits while maintaining a loving connection with children. She will highlight steps parents can take to raise resilient and successful children by fostering self-esteem, respect, and emotional intelligence. The program will be relevant for parents of all ages.
Berman has appeared on The Today Show and Good Morning America, and has been featured in the Washington Post. She is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Her interest is focused on increasing healthy child development by strengthening the parent-child bond.
