MORRISTOWN, NJ - Top seeded Morristown defeated no. 9 seed Morris Knolls, 4-1 in the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA Tournament at Mennen Arena on Monday night.

After a scoreless first, Morristown scored a pair of goals from Jakob DeFares and Kyle Beyer in the second period.   Danny Cangelosi of Morris Knolls scored the only goal for the Golden Eagles in the third. The Colonials kept the lead and sealed the victory with a goal from DeFares.

Evan Szary collected 16 saves in the net. 

The Colonials will face no. 4 seed Ridge in the semi-finals on Wednesday March 3 at 6:30 pm.
