MORRISTOWN, NJ - The 7th annual Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival will be returning to the Morristown Green on Saturday August 19. The free performances will run from noon to 10pm. Parking is available in the public lots and at the train station.

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks 12noon - 2pm
Grammy-winner Vince Giordano heads up one of the most popular classic jazz big bands in the world. They have appeared in films such as “The Cotton Club,” “The Aviator,” “Finding Forrester,” and on HBOs hit series “Boardwalk Empire.” For more than 40 years, Vince Giordano and his band have single handedly kept alive the Jazz Age music through concerts, recordings, television, radio and film and now they make their debut on the Festival stage.
The Bucky Pizzarelli Quintet 2pm - 4pm
A festival favorite, guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli will be joined by his long-time partner Ed Laub and son Martin on bass along with other special friends. The quintet will perform crowd favorites, drawing from the Great American Songbook and will entertain with great musicianship, wonderful vocals and lots of laughter.
Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses 4pm - 6pm
The only son of the incomparable Louis Prima, Louis Prima Jr. is a high-energy singer, songwriter and entertainer who dazzled the Festival fans with a band that not only captures the energy, excitement and fun of his dad’s band but brings their own personal style to the stage. From “Jump, Jive, ‘An Wail” to “Just a Gigolo” the Witnesses will have everyone dancing with joy.
Ana Popovic 6pm - 8pm
Six time Blues Music Award nominee Ana Popovic appears all over the world playing major blues, jazz, and rock festivals. As the only female guitarist to be part of the all-star Experience Hendrix Tour (with Buddy Guy, Zakk Wilde, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and others), she is gaining a well-deserved reputation as “one helluva guitar-player” as Bruce Springsteen said. She has graced the covers of many magazines from “Vintage Guitar” to “Blues Magazine” and her albums regularly reach the top five of the Billboard charts.
The Walter Trout Band 8pm -10pm
Born and raised in Ocean County, New Jersey, Walter Trout earned a sterling reputation backing greats such as John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thornton, Lowell Fulsom, Percy Mayfield, and Joe Tex. In 1981, he joined the legendary Canned Heat where John Mayall heard him and invited him to join The Bluesbreakers, following the group’s great guitar history which included Eric Clapton, Peter Green, and Mick Taylor. When he finally went out on his own, he became a chart-topping star in Europe. He is a 3-time winner of the “Overseas Artist of the Year” from the British Blues Awards, a winner of the prestigious Sena European Guitar Award, a 3-time Blues Music Award nominee, a top-ten guitar player in the BBC’s Guitarist Listeners’ Poll, and a winner of 2 Blues Music Awards in 2016.
