BERGEN COUNTY, NJ - Alejandro Velasquez of Morristown NJ has been arrested on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault By Contact and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, announced Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.

According to authorities, a report was filed stating that Velasquez, a handyman, sexually assaulted a juvenile under the age of 13 while working in a home in Demarest, NJ. Velasquez was arrested on Monday August 20 and transported to the Bergen County Jail.  As a result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special, he was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2A(1), a 1st degree crime; Sexual Assault By Contact in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b, a 2nd degree crime; and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a, a 3 rd degree crime.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
