MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Morristown Pancake House has announced that the restaurant will close indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant said, "we are not able to keep our doors open with sales from take out alone (it accounts for less than 5% of our business) and our location does not allow for any outdoor seating that will meet the governor’s requirements.
"We were able to get the PPP loan but that ended weeks ago", the statement continued. "We have used our own money to keep as much of our staff employed as we could, but that has dried up too. We will update as to the future of this restaurant, but we are as much in the dark as you".
Many customers were sad to see them close their doors. Some noted that the Pancake House was their favorite place for breakfast, while others praised their vegan pancakes.
Most were just sad to hear the news.
"I'm so sorry. I love this place. I'm so sad", wrote one customer.
