MORRISTOWN, NJ - Investors Bank is sponsoring a 'Giving Back Concert" on Friday, February 27 to benefit the Morristown Community Soup Kitchen. Tickets are $10 each and 100% of the profits are being donated back to Community Soup Kitchen.
"The Giving Back Concert was created in 2013, and was originally intended to be a fun way for employees to showcase their talents" said Victoria Webb, Training Specialist for Investors Bank . "After seeing the amount of talent and response to the idea, we decided to not only put on the showcase but to raise funds for different charities within our communities while doing what we love."
The first show was in October 2013 and continued through February of 2014. Investors Bank held shows in Jackson, Roxbury, Iselin and Brooklyn to benefit three charities aiding in Sandy Relief.
The concert will showcase 15 performers from Investors Bank. There will also be one special guest performer, Miss Betty, from the staff of the Morristown Community Soup Kitchen in the Morristown Showcase.
"Miss Betty has been part of the Morristown CSK staff for over 20 years. She is the heart and soul of the soup kitchen. Miss Betty has a beautiful voice and sings with her church. It seemed like an obvious decision to invite her to perform with us", said Webb.
The concert will being at 7:30 p.m. at TJ School, 101 James Street.
