MORRISTOWN, NJ- Both Colonials baseball and softball teams were on the field Thursday with the boys defeating Morristown-Beard 3-2, and the girls beating Randolph 2-1. Morristown boys tennis were on the courts facing Mendham. Baseball snapped a little losing streak early in the season with a big win before the county tournament. Softball received another gem from Molly Murphy and avenged their earlier loss to Randolph to improve to 6-2. Tennis continued with a win over Mendham.

Caden Tierney got the win for Morristown pitching 5 strong innings. He allowed 1 run off 3 hits while striking out 6. Tate Ballestero had a nice day at the plate, going 2-4 with an RBI. Pat Montfort and Joe Pucek drove in the other Colonial runs.

For softball, Murphy went the distance again, allowing 1 run off 3 hits. Chloe Saia and Molly Sibona each recorded 2 hits for the Colonials. Saia drove in a run with a double and
cracked a homerun to give Morristown the win. Baseball faces Columbia on Saturday and softball plays Parsippany Hills on Monday.

Morristown's James Endhahl and Duncan Wild each defeated their opponents in their singles match. Endahl defeated Nick Eade 6-3,3-6,6-3 and Wild Defeated Anthony Grasso 1-6,6-2,6-3.  The doubles team of Ben Lofrumento and Jake Massey defeated their opponents. The Colonials are now 5-1 on the campaign.
