MORRISTOWN, NJ - Morristown High School junior Victor Nazzaro was among the students honored by the Mayo Performing Arts Center as Music Students of the Month.
Students from schools based in Morristown, Kinnelon, Parsippany, Budd Lake, Butler, Boonton, Dover, Mendham and Randolph were recognized for their achievement as Outstanding Brass Players and Jazz Musicians prior to the April 29 performance by The Glenn Miller Orchestra and The Diamonds..
Students were nominated by their teachers based on their commitment and excellence in performing arts.
"Victor is the principal clarinetist in the Morristown High School Symphonic Band and the lead alto saxophonist in the Spectrum Jazz Ensemble," said Michael Russo. "He has successfully auditioned for many Honor Groups including North Jersey Area Band and the Region 1 Junior and Senior High School Jazz Ensembles. He has been a featured jazz soloist with the Spectrum Jazz Ensemble. Victor has excelled in his leadership roles in the music department and always encourages the underclassmen. His high level of talent and his natural enthusiasm make him an excellent candidate for the Music Student of the Month."
