MORRISTOWN, NJ - The storm that ripped through the Morristown area on July 14 caused townwide power outages as well as structural damage to homes and cars. There were no serious injuries associated with the powerful storm. 

To acknowledge the damage caused by the high winds and heavy rain, Mayor Dougherty and the Morristown Business Administrator announced that "there will be no cost for construction permits to address any required repair and or reconstruction of storm damaged elements". 

The Town hopes "to provide some relief to those affected" from the storm.
