FLORHAM PARK, NJ - Patrice Picard, CEO of Cornerstone Family Programs in Morristown, will be honored at the Park Ave Club “Spirit of Giving” Gala on Friday, September 23 for her years of dedicated service as Cornerstone’s CEO and for “the outstanding service she has provided to the Morris County community.”

Picard will receive the David Van H. Hedley “Spirit of Giving” Award which is given to both companies and individuals that have selflessly served their respective communities and truly made a difference in the lives of those they serve. Cornerstone Family Programs strengthens communities by helping people build better lives. Pre-school, after school, summer camp, recreation, tutoring, mentoring, and college preparation programs give children the best start in life and guide teens to successful adulthood. Counseling, substance abuse prevention, parenting education, recreation, work force development, language, and skill-building programs support adults.  Adult day center, case management services, and counseling and education programs help older adults remain independent in their homes.

 Picard has been the CEO of Cornerstone Family Programs since 2008. Before that she was a member of the Cornerstone Board, serving as its President from 2003 – 2006.  As CEO, Patrice managed the successful merger of Cornerstone and the Morristown Neighborhood House in 2013, which grew the combined organizations to serve over 10,000 people in need each year.

With a broad background in the non-profit and for-profit sectors, Picard  was named as one of New Jersey’s 2014 50 Best Women in Business by NJBIZ. She is a member of The National Advisory Council for the Center for Engagement and Neighborhood Building and is a member of the National Conference Planning Committee at the Alliance for Children and Families. Patrice is the President of the Family Service Association of New Jersey, and received the 2009 Tribute to Women Award from the Boy Scouts of America. Patrice also served as President of the Junior League of Morristown, and as Chair of the New Jersey State Council of Junior Leagues. Patrice has a B.A. in Industrial Psychology from Purdue University.  She also has a Master’s degree from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University.
