MORRISTOWN, NJ - Thursday night , Unity Charter School’s drama club performed Beauty and The Beast, Jr. before hundreds of excited fans.  The musical was filled with valuable life lessons. They ranged from, true beauty comes from within to the importance of being life-long learners and being curious, as Belle demonstrates through her love of books and as she teaches Beast to read. The musical was also an opportunity for students to showcase their talents on a grand stage before teachers, staff, parents, friends and each other.

The cast of 39 and crew of 12 put on a remarkable performance.  The musical was orchestrated by a production director, assistant director, a vocal coach, a choreographer, set designer and prop designer.  Over the past four months, students have worked diligently to learn lines, memorize dance steps and perfect their comedic timing.  The show was also an opportunity for students to learn collaboration, teamwork, and confidence.
